Stanley Park in Liverpool
Stanley Park is one of Liverpool's most historically significant green spaces and a Green Flag and Green Heritage award-winning park. Set across 111 acres in Anfield, it sits between Anfield and Goodison Park, making it a landmark for football fans as well as a beautiful park in its own right.
Playground
The playground features swings, a multi-play area, roundabout and see-saw, suitable for young children looking to let off steam during a visit.
Lakes and gardens
The park's pretty rose gardens and lakes make for a lovely setting to explore, with wildlife habitats adding further interest for nature lovers. Fishing is available in the park lakes with an angling permit.
Historic features
Stanley Park is packed with architectural character, from the grand sandstone pavilions to the ornate fairytale bandstand, which plays host to events including the Liverpool Bandstand Festival.
Isla Gladstone
The Grade II listed Isla Gladstone is a stunning Victorian conservatory set among the rose gardens and lakes. As well as being a beautiful feature of the park, it operates as a venue for lunches, weddings and conferences.
Walking and running
A marked 3k route takes in the full width of the park, passing between the home grounds of Liverpool and Everton Football Clubs - a unique feature that makes it a route like no other in the city.
