Playgrounds
The Linda McCartney playground is designed for toddlers and young children, with slides, swings, a climbing frame, roundabout, spinners and a spider's web. An adjacent wooded play area offers a larger climbing frame, balance beams and a spinner for older children.
Miniature Railway
The miniature railway at the Harthill Road end of the park runs every Sunday from 2pm-4pm, weather permitting. Rides are free, with donations welcome.
Gardens and green space
The park features beautiful Japanese and old English gardens, as well as open fields, woodland and a lake. A marked 3k route takes in the lake, the woodland and the famous thousand-year-old oak tree - ideal for a walk or a run.
The Mansion House
The Grade II listed Mansion House is a welcoming public space run by The Reader, with reading groups, art, yoga and exhibition rooms to explore.
